Poorly website design when trying to register product warranty

I had issues when trying to register the product warranty of (2) vape pens that I purchased, and I have to wonder if this is to deter customers from registering their products so that the company doesn't have to be responsible for warranty claims.
First, the directions on the physical packages indicate to navigate to a specific url to reach the product warranty page. The page that this takes you to makes it hard for consumers to easily locate the next step, nowhere on the directions does it say that you need to additionally click on customer service tab and navigate to the warranty page, this should be made much more easier to locate for customers that think they are being instantly routed to the warranty page when they follow the directions on the packaging.
After locating where the *actual* registration page is, I attempted to register two vape batteries, but shocker, I kept receiving a message on the site saying that the product warranty numbers I was entering was invalid. Additionally, the form requires users to enter their birthdate. This can only be done by clicking the year button backwards in a month-to-month fashion, hence requiring hundreds of clicks to reach the correct year. This could be easily solved by allowing users to select a year from a drop down menu or allowing for a text field that one can enter a year into. The website is extremely poorly designed overall, I'm not sure if this is a result of inadequate website designers or a purposeful move by the company to deter people from registering the products but hopefully ooze makes this right, I don't want to bother buying things from companies that require me to jump through so many hoops when simply registering a product. I did manage to receive a message back from customer service but I probably won't be buying anything from this company for some time.

Good pens

Really nice pens for the price. I've heard some people have had issues with QC but this wasn't a problem for me.
